![]() ![]() Mabel’s BBQ opened its second Ohio location in March of 2022 at Eton Place in Woodmere, Ohio. ![]() Friends can kick back at communal picnic tables and feast on brisket, kielbasa, pork ribs, and a variety of eastern European inspired sides, coupled with locally made Cleveland kraut and pickles. ![]() The deep green bar is reminiscent of a Coleman cooler, and a large neon sign reading “EAT MORE MEAT” is a focal point of the bi-level restaurant. 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' has made regular stops in Columbus, including Ena's Caribbean Kitchen, Momo Ghar, Ray Ray's Hog Pit, Loops and Sweet Carrot, which shuttered its restaurant in. The space’s arched ceilings, industrial lighting and exposed brick are reminiscent of Cleveland landmark West Side Market, evoking the feeling of a rustic smokehouse with a laid back vibe. Chef and Owner James Anderson raises his own pigs for the succulent smoked offerings at Ray Ray’s Hog Pit, a one-of-a-kind barbecue truck in Columbus, Ohio. Inspired by his respect and passion for regional barbecue across the U.S., Symon aimed to create a style that Clevelanders can call their own by incorporating Bertman’s Ballpark Mustard into the barbecue sauce, using Eastern European spices and smoking meat over local fruitwood.
